This artist book was created for Are You Book Enough_Heal for the February Instagram artist book challenge. I made a pocket accordion (from Hedi Kyle’s instructional book). I was inspired to make this after working on restoring an old book that kept falling apart. Each pocket has a strip from an old recycled book with tears in the pages. One is only torn, two is fixed with a bandaide, three is fixed with a strip of tea dyed rice paper and glue, fourth is sewn, 5th has mull over the tear, and the last one has rice paper on the back and glued at the top and mounted of a card-by far the best solution. The accordion book folds up to 2” x 5” . Open it is about 11” wide.
